The institutional messenger crypto has been waiting for.

TIM is the verified, compliant messenger for institutions in crypto, with firm-wide controls and a directory to find your next counterparty.

  • Work email sign-in
  • KYB verification by Sumsub
  • Archiving to Global Relay
  • Built by The Tie
Why we built it

We built TIM because we were tired of

  1. 01Getting spammed, phished and impersonated on anonymous apps.
  2. 02Losing client relationships the day an employee leaves.
  3. 03Having zero control of how our firm talks to its clients.

Other messaging apps were built for everyone. TIM was built for the desk: verified people, firm-owned conversations, and a record your compliance team can stand behind.

How it works

Built for institutions. Free to start.

VerificationEvery counterparty is verified.

Companies pass KYB before they earn the badge, so you see who you’re dealing with before you accept.

How verification works
ControlsWhen someone leaves, the client stays.

Deactivate a departing colleague and reassign their chats to a teammate.

ComplianceEvery message lands in Global Relay.

Edits, deletions, reactions and attachments too, archived as they happen.

Frequently Asked Questions

How is this different from Telegram or WhatsApp?
Consumer messengers are anonymous and can't be archived, which makes them a liability for a regulated firm. TIM gives you verified identities, firm-owned conversations, a crypto-native company directory with real market data, and native compliance archiving. It's messaging your compliance team can approve.
Can strangers message me?
No. A message from someone outside your network arrives as a request you accept or decline, and you can block anyone. On Pro, your company can go further and accept new conversations only from KYB-verified companies.
What happens to conversations when an employee leaves?
They stay with your firm. An admin deactivates the person and reassigns their group chats, with the full history, to a teammate in a single action. No orphaned group chats, no records walking out of the door.
Which platforms does TIM run on?
In the browser, as a native macOS desktop app, and on iOS and Android.
